Scholarships 
Scholarships are financial aid awarded to a student based upon characteristics other than need. Grades and academic ability, talent, and membership in a group or organization can all be criteria for awarding scholarships. Use the SIUC Scholarship database and the free Internet scholarship search sites to find potential scholarships. Be sure to apply by the listed deadlines.

All scholarship applications but the Uray scholarship have a deadline of Friday, January 30th, 2009. The Richard M. Uray Broadcasting Scholarship application has a deadline of October 15th, 2008.
