Hollywood Studies

MCMA's Hollywood Studies Program allows students to gain hands-on experience while earning academic credit by doing internships in media industries in Hollywood. Launched in 1995 with the help of our alumni and friends, Hollywood Studies was the first of MCMA's Studies Programs. Through Hollywood Studies, students from SIUC are placed in summer internships with media companies to gain experience and insight into their chosen fields. The internship base is constantly expanding with new opportunities being added for students. Last year, Hollywood Studies students interned at the Bold and the Beautiful, Platinum Studios, GoTV Networks, Kopelson Entertainment, Laura Pallas Management, Vox, Inc., Miles Per Hour Entertainment, Bell Sound Studio, Inner Giggles Productions, Film Colony, Touchstone Television, and the American Film Institute.

If you have questions about the Studies Programs, please contact Krissi Geary-Boehm, MCMA Internship Coordinator, at 618-453-8637 or kgeary@siu.edu.
